- 1). Fill a 5-gallon bucket halfway with corn. Wrap the 1/4-inch hardware cloth over the top of the bucket. Tie the piece of wire around the rim of the bucket to hold the 1/4-inch hardware cloth over the top of the bucket. The 1/4-inch hardware cloth allow things smaller than 1/4-inch to fall through the cloth; the corn kernels are just big enough to stay in the bucket.
- 2). Flip the bucket upside down. Shake the bucket up and down to allow any small debris to shake through the 1/4-inch hardware cloth. Set the bucket down. Remove the 1/4-inch hardware cloth.
- 3). Set another 5-gallon bucket next to your current bucket. Have a friend turn on the leaf blower to the lowest setting.
- 4). Slowly pour the bucket of corn into the other empty 5-gallon bucket. Have your friend aim the leaf blower at the pouring corn to remove any dust or debris remaining on the shelled corn.
