- 1). Wash your Camp Chef griddle after use with water and mild, nonabrasive dishwashing soap. Do not use a metal scouring brush on the griddle or put it in a dishwasher. If needed, use a plastic scrubber to remove baked-on food.
- 2). Rinse the griddle thoroughly, making sure all the soap residue is gone.
- 3). Dry the griddle with a soft towel and let it dry completely before seasoning.
- 4). Season the griddle after each use, and after the griddle is washed and dried. Apply a thin coat of unsalted lard or vegetable shortening to the whole surface, including corners. Wipe the surface with a paper towel.
