How to Remove the GUI Logon on a Mac

    • 1). Click the Apple icon located at the top left of the menu bar.

    • 2). Select "System Preferences."

    • 3). Click the "Accounts" icon.

    • 4). Click the lock icon found in the bottom-left corner of the window. Enter an administrator name and password and click "OK."

    • 5). Click "Login Options."

    • 6). Click the drop-down menu next to "Automatically Log In As" and select which account you want to use to automatically sign in to Mac OS X.

    • 7). Enter the password for the account. Click the "OK" button.

    • 8). Close the "Accounts" system preferences window.
