- 1). Download, install and run Malwarebytes (malwarebytes.org) Anti-Malware. Click the "Updates" tab, and then click "Check for Updates" to get the latest definitions.
- 2). Click the "Scanner" tab. Click "Perform Full Scan." Click the "Scan" button to run a free malware search on the Dell Inspiron 1525.
- 3). Click "OK" if a pop-up window appears. Review the scan log for infections once the scan is complete. Click "Remove Selected" to get rid of the detected malware.
- 1). Download, install and run Microsoft (microsoft.com) Security Essentials. Click the "Update" tab. Click "Update" to get the latest anti-malware definitions.
- 2). Click "Home," and then click the radio button next to "Full." Click "Scan Now" to perform a malware search on the Inspiron 1525.
- 3). Click "Clean Computer" to remove detected malware for free from the computer.
- 1). Download, install and run AVG (free.avg.com) Free. Follow the on-screen instructions on the AVG First Run Wizard to get the latest updates.
- 2). Click "Computer Scanner" when the program launches. Click "Scan Whole Computer."
- 3). Review the results on the "Scan Results" page when the scan is complete. AVG Free will automatically remove detected infections from the Dell laptop.
