How to Use Ghost PXE on a PC

    • 1). Insert the blank DVD disc into your drive, if you want to use the disc for the disk backup. You can also use your local hard drive, a network drive or a portable USB hard drive.

    • 2). Open the Ghost PXE Suite software from the Windows "Start" menu. In the "Symantec GhostCast Server" window, type a name for the boot image and session.

    • 3). Click the "Create Image" option. Click "Browse." In the opened dialog window, select a drive you want to image. You can also choose a network drive on a remote computer.

    • 4). Type a name for the stored image file. Click "Save." The process of creating a stored image takes several minutes, especially if the image is copied on a network drive.

    • 5). Click "Accept Clients" after the image copy completes. This option lets network computers use the image files to restore the hard drives.
