Step Bar Installation

    • 1). Locate the bolts underneath each side of the doors that appear to be holding the frame of the vehicle in place. Depending on the type of vehicle you have, there will be different amounts of bolts.

    • 2). Remove the bolt at the front of the vehicle first, then take off the rubber donut. Slide the long bolt from your side bar kit into the provided bracket, replace the rubber donut and screw the bolt in place so the bracket is securely mounted.

    • 3). Remove the rest of the bolts along the bottom frame of the car, replacing each with the longer bolts and brackets provided in the side step kit. Make sure each bolt is securely tightened.

    • 4). Place your side step bar over the top of the newly installed brackets, and align the holes in the bar with the holes in the brackets.

    • 5). Insert the screws into the brackets to attach the side bar to the side of the vehicle. Tighten all the bolts a second time to make sure the bar is properly installed. Repeat these steps to install a bar on the other side of the vehicle.
