Curing Panic Attacks - Facing Your Fear Can Help You Cure Panic Attacks

The best weapon you have in curing panic attacks is your own willpower. At first this may seem impossible, I understand that... but just bear with me for a little bit and I will show you how. I understand that you are manifesting physical symptoms and you probably feel hopeless. How can you will away chest pains, dizziness, and the feeling of dread you have? It's possible with a few personal adjustments.

If you go to the doctor they are going to be pretty insistent that curing panic attacks is best done through medication. There is however a better way. If you are like me you probably don't like the idea of taking a drug cocktail for the rest of your life. Do you really want to walk through life like a zombie? Emotionless? What happens when you have to take more and more drugs just to feel normal? These drugs end up being just as bad if not worse than the panic attacks themselves.

The first step in curing panic attacks is to adjust the way that you react and handle anxiety. You are programmed to react to stress and anxiety the wrong way. When your react improperly you start a vicious cycle of anxiety which only gets worse until you reach the breaking point. Once you reach this point you suffer a panic attack which seems as though it comes from nowhere.

Curing panic attacks can be achieved by changing you mindset. You have to observe more than react. You must break the habits that you have learned and figure out why you are experiencing these attacks. The easiest way to do this is to keep a journal of all of your experiences. Write out what triggers your attacks, how they make you feel, and what you think you can do to stop it. You will start to notice patterns. Once you start to break these patterns you are closer to curing panic attacks.

The best way to break your patterns is to desensitize yourself to your anxiety. Do this slowly and before you know it your triggers will not affect you as bad as they used too. You subconsciously will start to be less fearful.

Curing panic attacks isn't rocket science. When you figure out your triggers that get you going you need to drop what you are doing and talk yourself down. Give yourself a time out, take a seat and try to deal with the emotions. Once you learn to embrace your fear it will cause you less and less pain.
