- 1). Comb dry hair to remove any tangles. Part your hair exactly in the center. Place your comb two inches back from your hairline on your part. This will be the top point of your triangle.
- 2). Drag your comb down to the outer edge of your left eyebrow. This will be the left point of your triangle. Drag your comb down to the outer edge of your right eyebrow. This will be the right point of your triangle. This is just to help you get acquainted with the shape you will be making.
- 3). Place your comb two inches from the edge of your hairline in the center of your part and comb your hair down, forming a "curtain" in front of your face. Grab your top section of hair from this "curtain" and clip it up and back.
- 4). Comb out this lower section of hair. Make a slight 1/4 inch cut on the outer left side of your bangs, just above your eyebrows. This is a test length of your potential bang length. If you like the length of your bangs, continue to cut all the way across your forehead, making small, even little snips. This will allow you the most control.
- 5). Unclip your top section of hair and comb it out. Run a flat iron over it to ensure that it lays flat over the bangs you just cut.
- 6). Make a tiny 1/4 inch cut at the outer left side of your bangs, matching the length you've already cut. Check the cut for accuracy and continue to cut across your forehead. Use the under layer of bangs as your guide.
