I get asked this question a lot - 'Simon, how do I get motivated to lose weight?'.
You know what, it can be tough.
You've tried things before, they haven't worked and your motivation is at rock bottom.
You're running around like a headless chicken and life throws hurdles at every turn, just when you were about ready to start.
Don't worry I've been there! Well here's something that personally helped me and have helped my clients over the years...
Stop Thinking About ''Losing Weight'...
I know this can be a bit of a tough one to grasp at first, let me explain...
Sure, losing weight is a part of the process, but whenever someone comes and speaks to me about losing weight, I ask them 'what are you really here for?'.
They look on at me puzzled as I say "What will losing weight actually give you?".
For some people it's about confidence, for others its about more energy, for some it's about how they feel when they're naked in bed with their partner or how their kids see them.
You see, once you make this mental switch, your motivation can go up by 50%-200%.
Why? Because you can start to see how other parts of your life will change, rather than just being happy for what it says on the scales.
Your scales may give you a number that makes you happy in the short term, but think about what you want in the next three, six months.
Going to the beach, being able to take your clothes off with confidence, feeling good when you go out with friends, all of that.
Don't hold, back, close your eyes for a second and imagine what your life will be like when you're able to shop for slim, sexy clothes and dance around naked not worrying about what you look like, because everything is firm and toned! It will happen, but you have to be an action taker.
How will tomorrow be any different from today if you don't take action?
