Well it's that time of year and as usual thousands of men and women are trying to figure out how they can get in shape this up coming season.
For men wanting to get a ripped chest there are a few different workouts you can try.
As with anything everyone will have different preferences.
What may work for me may not work for you.
1) Push ups.
Oh, the push up.
Don't you just love them? Believe it or not the push up is the most effective exercise out there.
Not only does it help the arms and chest but it also increases the strength of your core and legs! Doing different types of push ups is key if you really want to see great results.
For the first week of your workout try just doing a regular push up (remember it's not the quantity of push ups done it's the quality of them).
The next week try something else out like the staggered push up.
For this one you need to have one hand back while another hand forward.
This shifts your body weight and focuses the strength on a particular arm.
2) Pull Ups.
This may or may not be something you can do right now.
Trust me when I first started out I could barely do one too.
A pull up is when you literally pull yourself up.
You've probably seen these in some door jams and such in some homes.
The goal is to grab onto the bar and pull yourself up slowly.
After your head is above the bar slowly lower yourself until you're nearly touching the ground and then repeat.
This is an incredibly hard exercise for some people but it's super effective both for your arms and your chest - you'll probably be able to feel the burn.
Finally remember that without putting into action what you learn you will never seen results.
So get out there and start moving!
