- 1). Dab--don't rub--the stain with a clean sponge or rag soaked in cold water and lathered with regular dish soap.
- 2). Use ammonia for a particularly stubborn stain. Dab a little bit onto a fresh rag or sponge, dilute with cold water, and then dab onto the stain.
- 3). Repeat as necessary.
- 4). In extreme cases, you might have to sand down the stained area and refinish it.
