- Wedgwood was established in England in 1759 by Josiah Wedgwood, "the father of English potters." Today, it is the world's leading manufacturer of fine tableware.
- According to the Wedgwood company website, the Traditions pattern "features a textured, embossed pattern of swirling scrolls and intertwining ribbons that is inspired from archival Wedgwood patterns." This dinnerware is made of white bone china.
- Because this pattern is retired, it can sometimes be hard to find. Check the Wedgwood site for any remaining stock, as well as retailers that specialize in discontinued patterns, such as Replacements Limited or The Silver Queen.
- Online auction sites such as eBay offer a wide selection of dinnerware. Also check local antique and collectibles stores.
- When considering used pieces, take condition into account. Look for pieces with no chips, cracks, or crazing.
