Several moons ago, Howard Dean was interviewed on MSNBC as he defended President Obama comments on the Bill O'Reilly show.
You see, Bill asked Obama if he was a "re-distributor" (meaning socialist) and President Obama stated that he hadn't raised taxes once since he was in office.
This was in an interview on Super Bowl Sunday prior to the game's start.
Perhaps, you remember this interview, as it was watched by some 80 million Americans (not me).

So, ahead and read this and then you will be able to following my comments below.
There is a difference between pooling money for our common needs and using a bureaucracy to oversee the duties of getting that job done (roads, police, fire, etc.
debate) and the taking money from those who've earned it and then giving it to those who haven't.
Howard Dean (former head of the DNC - Democrat National Committee) has a problem with definitions, and his argument is bogus when it comes to a rational for re-distribution of wealth from individual to individual.
Further, for government to believe it is job is to control the control capitalism by controlling the flow of money, resources, and labor is nonsense.
If that is what he thinks he's suppose to do, well it certainly wouldn't be called capitalism.
These folks are dangerous to our nation's economic stability and continuance.
The government's job is not to act as a Modern Day Robin Hood "Re-distributing" Socialistic Machine - and for Howard Dean to suggest that it is - is indeed cause for alarm.
For those who claim to be Democrats and are so very proud of it, well, I ask you then; why are you a socialist? And if you claim not to be a socialist, then you cannot support the Democrat Party anymore, otherwise you live in utter hypocrisy and are living a life of Romantic Balderdash.
Although you might think this is an opinion article, it's not at all.
Indeed, I am simply point out the fact, and the factual definition of what a "Socialist" is.
If you don't want to be called this term, then you must leave the Democrat Party now, or reform it.
If not, and if you accept these strategies, plan, and social political conditions, then you are a SOCIALIST, admit it.
Socialism is not Progressive - it is regressive, because it doesn't work, it's never worked.
