The Doors
The planned release of the 40th anniversary edition of L.A. Woman album has been nudged into 2012 (1/24) as part of a larger promotional effort dubbed The Year of The Doors. The January releases include a two-CD set featuring a previously unreleased track ("She Smells So Nice") and alternate versions of songs on the original release. A vinyl-only version, L.A. Woman: The Workshop Sessions has additional bonus tracks.A documentary on the making of the album, Mr. Mojo Risin': The Story of L.A. Woman on DVD and Blu-ray will also be available 1/24.

Ringo Starr
Ringo's 17th solo album, Ringo 2012 (CD) will be released on 1/24. A vinyl LP version and a CD-DVD set will come the following week. Ringo produced, co-wrote (all but two covers) and co-mixed the album. Hard Knocks will be Joe Cocker's 21st studio album, featuring nine new songs and a cover. In the pre-release publicity, Cocker says, "It's a little more pop than I've been into for quite a while so it would scare me sometimes.
