Custom Mosaics Bring a Picture to Life

Everyone has memories they don't want to forget.
From family gatherings to childhood memories via the honeymoons and holidays, there are dozens of little, but important, moments in our lives we immortalize in pictures.
Now, there's a way to bring a picture into your everyday life, and keep it there; with custom mosaics.
The difference between the two is obvious; a picture will fade, rip, or be lost; a mosaic will stand the test of time.
Consider the fact that you can today find mosaics around the world that were made as early as the 3rd and 4th centuries; the first in fact dates back to the first half of the 3rd century.
Not only can you visit the ancient monuments where they are housed, but they are the most, and more often than not the only, enduring artwork.
At the end of the day, that's what mosaics are; a form of art.
The mosaics that remain from those days often help teach us a little about the era in which they were made; they bring that era to life through the depiction of the things that were important, the things that helped uplift and enchant our ancestors, and the events that marked their passage through life.
They also paint a picture of the journey past civilizations took; after all, the first fixed camera picture that has stood the test of time wasn't taken until 1826.
Up until that time, paintings, engravings, sculptures and mosaics were the visual mediums through which the history of our world was told; through art.
We tell our own story in a similar manner today, after all you've doubtless got some art on your walls, and pictures are probably part of that; a collage of the journey of your life, scattered throughout your home, tacked to your refrigerator, and sometimes placed in beautiful frames.
As our ancestors did, we still use art to tell a story but the difference is that the availability of artistic mediums open to us today is far greater than at any other time in history.
The problem with that is that much of it therefore becomes disposable however.
It's so easy to snap a picture that we don't protect it as we would have in the past.
The important ones we try to protect however; we place them in frames or behind glass in the hopes that they won't fade or rip, we keep them in albums to prevent their loss, and this is where custom mosaics can come into their own.
While not every memory needs to be immortalized, there are some that we would like to see endure; for our children and grandchildren, and their children and grandchildren.
From the picture of your child's first pet to the picture of that endless beach you would love to revisit, some day, you can make sure these are memories that never fade, snapshots of your life that endure for generations.
Personal memories can't be purchased, they can't be found in an antique shop or a high end boutique; they can only be remembered in your own mind, or through mosaic art.
