- 1). Invest in a small, safe space-heater. Place it in an open area of the camper and never leave the heater unattended for safety reasons.
- 2). Wear layers of clothing in addition to a heavy jacket or long pants if it's really that cold. Items like wool socks, a warm hat, scarf, gloves and long underwear will regulate your body temperature. This prevents body heat from escaping. Cover yourself with heavy blankets made of wool to keep warm.
- 3). Close off sections in your camper that you are not using. This will bring what heat is in the camper to a smaller space, keeping it warmer.
- 4). Close all the blinds and curtains. The cold can get through the windows if they are exposed. By closing curtains and blinds, you trap some of the cold between the window and blinds, leaving the camper warmer.
- 5). Sleep in a cold-weather sleeping bag. These bags may be purchased at sports specialty stores and will help you regulate body temperature by keeping your body heat inside the bag.
