- 1). Unscrew the cap at the end of the faucet. Remove the mesh screen and washer. Position the diverter onto the end of the faucet and tighten the collar clockwise to secure it to the faucet. If the diverter does not fit the faucet, attach one of the supplied texture adapters with internal threads and a washer to the end of the faucet. If the threads on the faucet are internal, attach the appropriate texture adapter with external threads to the end of the faucet.
- 2). Unscrew the two nuts on the side of the diverter using your fingers. Insert the large nut onto the end of the large tub and the small nut onto the end of the small tube. The threads must be pointing away from the tube. Push the large tube into the large barb on the diverter and push the small tube into the small barb on the diverter. Tighten the nuts by turning them clockwise using your fingers. Secure the tubes to the faucet with the supplied tie straps.
- 3). Place the eSpring purifier on the counter in a location where the tubes from the faucet can reach the unit. The unit also must be close enough to an outlet so it can be plugged in.
- 4). Remove the top shroud (the plastic casing) from the purifier. Remove the electronic module underneath.
- 5). Cut the tubes with a utility knife if they are too long. The cuts must be straight. Insert the supplied tubing supports onto the ends of the tubes. The large tubing support is for the large tube and the small tubing support is for the small tube.
- 6). Insert the tubes into the appropriate size bracket on the top of the eSpring unit: large into large, small into small.
- 7). Turn on the cold water. Pull out the pin on the diverter so it extends away from the faucet. It will not be removed when you pull it. Let the water run for at least five minutes so it can saturate the eSpring cartridge.
- 8). Check for leaks, and if you see any, check all of the connections and make sure they are tight. If there are no leaks, shut off the water and push in the pin on the diverter.
- 9). Replace the electronic module. Store the supplied tubing removal tool next to the electronic module. It is only needed if you decide to remove the eSpring unit from the faucet. Align the tubes with the notches on the back of the eSpring unit and push the cord strain relief into the notch on the base.
- 10
Replace the top shroud and plug the power supply into an outlet. Wait for the eSpring unit to beep, which may be up to 30 seconds. - 11
Turn on the water. A blue cup with rolling drops of water should appear on the eSpring's display screen to indicate the purifier is working.
