Guide Review - G DATA GnuPG for Outlook 0.91
Outlook comes with an implementation of S/MIME, but it lacks PGP support.
The G DATA GnuPG Plugin tries to fill in this gap, but it succeeds only partially. The toolbar buttons it adds are clear and easy to use, and let you encrypt and sign outgoing emails as well as decrypt and verify incoming messages easily, and the key management tool G DATA GnuPG for Outlook comes with is crude, but provides the essential functionality.
Unfortunately, though, G DATA GnuPG for Outlook only supports the more and more outdated plain text format of PGP messages and can't deal with OpenPGP MIME-compatible messages. Worse even, it lets the HTML part of rich-text messages escape unencrypted without a warning.
